May 12th, 2025 "The Value of Man" Psalm 8:4-5 (NIV) "What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor." Reflection God values humanity highly, creating us in His image and crowning us with glory and honor. Key Points 1. _Created in God's image_: We reflect God's character and worth. 2. _Crowned with glory and honor_: We have inherent dignity and value. 3. _Mindful of us_: God cares for and notices us. Application 1. _Recognize your worth_: Understand your value in God's eyes. You are valuable and important in God's eyes, regardless of your financial status. 2. _Treat others with dignity_: Reflect God's love and care. Let's stop living transactional lives, where we relate to people based on what they have or don't have. In God's eyes, we are all important, and we should have the same attitude towards others. 3. _Live purposefully_: Knowing God values you, live intentionally. Though God places value on everyone, we must respond to His valuation by living intentionally and fulfilling His purpose for our lives. Ultimately, our lives will be assessed based on whether we fulfilled His will, not whether we made money or not! Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me in Your image and valuing me.
