#worldnotobaccoday Health Deputy Minister, Dr Joe Phaahla at the media and stakeholder networking session today in Midrand explained that the Department was not in favour of a tobacco ban or of calling for it to be declared illegal, but rather advocated for its regulation to control usage to protect non-smokers. The Department will continue to highlight the associated harmful effects in order to control and reduce tobacco use.
