Today, Department of Health convened a national media and stakeholder networking session to mark #worldnotobaccoday2025 in Midrand. Deputy Minister Dr Joe Phaahla was joined by Ms shenaaz EL-Halabi WHO Rep to South Africa, Deputy Director General of Primary Health Care, Ms Jeanette Hunter, Acting Chief Director of NCDs, Ms Rebone Ntsie, Tobacco Control Programme Manager, Ms Lorato Mahura, young advocates and other stakeholders in amplifying calls to protect youth from nicotine products and deceptive industry tactics.
