*Security Alert – Meru County* Robbery with Violence Suspects Arrested, AK-47 Recovered Police in Meru responded to gunfire reports at Mungania Shopping Centre yesterday night. A National Police Reservist spotted an armed suspect with an AK-47 rifle, which was later recovered after the suspect fled. Swift action by officers from Kathare, Subuiga, and Buuri East led to the arrest of two suspects, including a woman found inside an abandoned getaway vehicle. The suspects had allegedly robbed a local shop attendant, who sustained minor injuries. The firearm and vehicle have been secured for forensic analysis.
