I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and a buckler."*_ Isaiah 43:2 *_"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you."_* *INTRODUCTION* We will end this Categoriy of The Sustaining Mercies with today's theme; The Protective Mercy. This is another important nature of God in His relationship with you. It is recorded in several scriptures reflecting that, God's love and care surround His people, providing the shield of protection and guidance. This concept is rooted in the understanding that God is your refuge and fortress, always ready to defend and deliver you from harm. _"When all else fails, God's protective mercy stands as the ultimate refuge"_ *CHARACTERS* - *Noah*: Who found favor in God's eyes and was protected from the flood (Genesis 6-9). - *David*: Who trusted in God's protection and deliverance, even in the midst of danger and adversity (Psalm 23). Your daily life is fraught with some unawares and some well known dangers and uncertainties. You encounter people who may not have our best interests at heart but smiling with you, you face spiritual attacks from various sources with evil traps lurking all around you; demonic altars, incantations from home, workplace and communities you belong; The devil, like a roaring lion, seeks to devour and destroy you, and to thwart God's purpose for your life. In search of protection, many have turned to flawed sources - fellow humans who are equally vulnerable or, worse still, the devil himself who is man's ultimate enemy. However, my experiences have taught me that God's Mercy is the Ultimate Protection. The Bible affirms this truth, and I have come to realize that trusting in God's mercy is the most reliable way to navigate life's challenges. This realization will brings peace and confidence, reminding you today that God's protection is available to you who trust in Him.
