_"In God's Reconciliation Mercy, is the power to forgive others, and to be forgiven ourselves"_
*HOW TO OBTAIN RECONCILIATION MERCY*
1. _Faith in Jesus Christ_: Believing in Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection as the basis for reconciliation. (Rom 5:10-11, 2Cor 5:18-19)
2. _Repentance and confession_: Acknowledging sin and seeking forgiveness through Jesus' sacrifice. (1John 1:9, Psa 51:1-17)
3. _Embracing God's love_: Recognizing and responding to God's love and mercy. (Rom 5:8, 1John 4:19)
_"Reconciliation is not just a decision, but a journey of rediscovering love, trust, and forgiveness"_
*REFLECTION LESSONS AND QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION*
1. How has God's reconciliation mercy impacted your life?
2. As a believer, do you still need Reconciliation Mercy?
As a believer, you're already reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 5:1, 2Cor 5:18-19). However, Reconciliation Mercy can still be applied in your life in several ways:
1. *Daily forgiveness*: When you sin, you can experience God's forgiveness and restoration through repentance and confession (1John 1:9).
- David's prayer in Psalm 51:1-17 is a great example. After his sin with Bathsheba, David repented and sought God's forgiveness, restoration, and cleansing. This shows how God forgives and restores believers who come to Him in humility and repentance.
2. *Growing in intimacy*: Reconciliation mercy can deepen your relationship with God, fostering a sense of closeness, trust, and obedience.
- The story of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2, John 20:11-18) demonstrates how experiencing God's forgiveness and mercy will deepen your relationship with Him. After being delivered from demonic possession, Mary Magdalene followed Jesus and showed her devotion to Him. Her transformed life and intimate relationship with Jesus are a testament to the power of God's Reconciliation Mercy.
3. *Restoring relationships*: God's reconciliation mercy can also guide you in reconciling with others, promoting forgiveness, and healing in your relationships.
- Joseph's story with his brothers (Genesis 45:1-15) is an example of reconciliation in relationships with others around us. Despite being betrayed and sold into slavery, Joseph chose to forgive his brothers and extended Reconciliation Mercy to them. His actions demonstrate God's mercy and forgiveness, and show how you need to extend grace and Restoration Mercy to others in your daily life.
_"God's mercy is the catalyst for reconciliation, transforming enemies into friends, and strangers into family"_
While your initial reconciliation to God occurs at salvation, ongoing experiences of His mercy and forgiveness can continue to shape and transform your life and relationships with God and others around you daily.
As a believer, obtain and apply God's Reconciliation Mercy in various aspects of your life, from daily forgiveness to growing in intimacy and restoring relationships.
*CONCLUSION*
The reconciliation mercy of Jesus Christ offers both believers and unbelievers a restored relationship with God, enabling fellowship and intimacy. By embracing faith in Jesus' sacrifice, repentance, and God's love, you will obtain and experience Reconciliation Mercy and peace with God.
_"Reconciliation is the bridge that connects brokenness to wholeness, and distance to intimacy"_
