This morning, I traveled to a particular village to procure some unrevealed goods (don’t ask me what it is, Aunty Iyabo, just mind your business small)😂 As I sat, waiting patiently for my assistant to return from the farm, I saw something I have not seen in a long, long time. A tortoise. Just wakaing slowly, like it has all the time in the world. It made me pause because I had been seeing chickens run up and down all morning like they were chasing an exam timetable. Everything fast, people rushing, bikes zooming, pressure everywhere. And then boom this tortoise appeared. Moving slowly, yet steady. Next thing I remembered was the snail. Yes, the one that literally carries its house on its back. No rush, no pressure, just vibes and divine speed. And in that moment, something clicked in my head... Those that knows me know how deep of a thinker I'm. Its more reason why I hardly fall into manipulation except I allow it. I remembered how Allah, in His infinite mercy, ordered Prophet Nuhu (ASW) to build an Ark to save creation from the great flood. Now here’s the question I asked myself while still sitting there in that village: How in the world did tortoise and snail manage to reach the Ark before it closed? Yandaba please let that one sink in for a moment… The Cheetah is the fastest animal on Earth right? Built for speed. Born to run. So If there was ever a race to survive, you would expect the cheetah to win it ko? So when Allah told Noah to build the Ark you would think the cheetah would be the first to arrive. But here’s the twist Uncle Ndako⤵️ The tortoise made it. The snail made it. They didn’t get there first. They didn’t even come close. But they kept moving, slowly, steadily and they made it before the door closed. That’s the message, Uncle Bamidele. Permit to to humbly submit to you that life is not always about who gets there first. It’s also not about who shines fastest or who “blows” or make it before 30. It’s about showing up. It’s about consistency. It’s about trusting the process and not backing down because others seem ahead. The race isn’t always for the swift. Sometimes, it’s for the ones who refuse to stop. The ones still moving, even when nobody is clapping. The ones crawling quietly toward their destiny. So Aunty Iyabo, if you see your neighbor buying their third car, don’t go and pressure your husband o. As long as you’re still moving, grace will carry you to your Ark. The cheetah ran, but the snail arrived too because grace, not speed, closed the Ark. So keep pushing. Keep believing. Whether you’re running, walking, or crawling… Please just don’t stop. Your time is coming. #onenationguy #cheetahvssnail #graceoverspeed #stayinmotion
