A police officer based at Bondeni Police Station was shot dead and two others injured in a gang ambush in Free Area, Nakuru Town, early Monday morning, after responding to a distress call.
One officer was also attacked with a machete while fleeing.
Police have intensified patrols and interrogations as investigations continue.
