Four suspected Al-Shabaab militants were shot dead early Monday during a fierce gunfight with Kenya’s elite Special Operations Group (SOG) in Najo and Guracho areas of Garissa County.
The operation, guided by drone surveillance and intelligence, led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, a PKM machine gun, ammunition, and communication devices.
Authorities say the incident marks another major success in ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist cells operating near the Somali border.
