Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court in Dar es Salaam on Monday postponed the hearing of a case against opposition leader Tundu Lissu, in which he is charged with publishing false information, after the prosecution filed an application seeking protective measures for their witnesses.
The case, which was set for hearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Geofrey Mhini, was adjourned to June 16, 2025, to allow time for the court to first hear and rule on the prosecution’s application filed under criminal procedure laws seeking to shield the identities of their 15 witnesses.
