TSC confirms the appointment of Eveleen Mitei as Acting CEO following the commencement of terminal leave by long-serving Commission Secretary Dr. Nancy Macharia, who is set to officially retire on June 30, 2025.
In an internal memo dated June 1, Dr. Macharia thanked staff for their support and urged them to back her interim successor.
Her exit comes amid legal uncertainty, as the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Mombasa recently suspended the ongoing recruitment of a new CEO over allegations of constitutional violations in the process.
