In the music video, a Venezuelan man is pinned to the ground under mock arrest by immigration officers. In Spanish, one of the singers pleads: “Donald Trump, don’t deport me … I just want a chance to stay.” The song “Donaltron” — a riff on how the president’s name is pronounced in Spanish — became a viral hit amid the administration’s sweeping immigration crackdown. About two months after the song’s release, one of the Venezuelan artists behind the track, Claudio David Balcane González, known as Davicito59, says immigration agents shoved him to the ground outside a friend’s apartment in Chicago and took him into custody.
