FACT OF INVERTER BATTERY:
> While discharging,
The battery works as galvanic cell!
> While charging,
The battery works as electrolytic cell!
*????*
_Why distilled water is used?_
*Since, inverter batteries use Aqueous Diluted Sulfuric acid, the electrolysis uses most of the water to break down in Hydrogen and oxygen.*
*⚠️ Why not tap water?*
Tap water contains impurities, salts, and minerals (like Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Cl⁻, etc.).
These can:
React with sulfuric acid
Deposit on electrodes, reducing battery efficiency
Corrode internal parts
Shorten battery life
