Why I Started DEXA.
A Journey from Frustration to Purpose.
It may not have crossed your mind to ask me this question, but I'm going to tell you about it regardless.
People build tech start ups for different reasons, but for me, it's a little weird.
I didn’t start DEXA because it was trendy.
No. not at all.
I started it because I was tired.
First, tired of having to come live to teach the same skills to different people at different times. Why niy build something that automates it, allows for more impact and scales even better.
And then secondly, which is why I have refused to back down.
I was also Tired!. Lol
Tired of watching brilliant young Africans settle for less (crime) because of greed, and sometimes, because no one gave them a shot at the right information.
For years, I saw the same cycle.
Both on campus, among teenagers and even in church.
Youth with potential getting lured into cybercrime, not because they wanted to be criminals or even see it for what it is,
But because no one "probably" showed them, early enough what was possible with their minds, creativity, and devices.
And then there's the part where literally every Nigerian has to suffer the burden of being suspected to be a scammer when dealing with non-Africans.
That hit me deeply, and each day I am burdened with advocating against it.
So I made a decision, to build a platform that would give thousands of Africans access to in-demand digital skills and remote jobs.
No gatekeeping of information, just pure opportunity.
Today, DEXA has trained over 58,000 people, equipping them with several in-demand skills like.
This isn’t just a project to me. It’s a movement.
A movement to reclaim our narrative. To reduce cyber fraud.
To show the world that African youth are not the problem, they’re the solution.
If you're a brand, policymaker, foundation, or global organization that’s passionate about building Africa’s tech talent pipeline, let’s talk.
DEXA is ready to scale. Africa is ready to lead.
Africa is Ours to Build.
