*5-day Daily Devotional*
Jesus ever lives to intercede for you, that your faith fail not. He prays you'll see yourself as Benjamin (son of the right hand), not Benoni (son of sorrow). Don't let problems eclipse God's promises. Your faith is crucial. When weak, ask Jesus to pray for you. He is your high priest.
*Day 1: The Power of Unwavering Faith*
Reading: Luke 22:31-34
Devotional: Jesus' words to Peter reveal the spiritual battle we all face. Satan desires to sift us, to shake our faith to its core. But take heart! Jesus intercedes for us, praying that our faith will not fail. Today, reflect on areas where your faith feels challenged. Remember that Christ Himself is advocating for you, strengthening you to overcome. How does knowing Jesus is praying for you change your perspective on your struggles?
*Day 2: From Sorrow to Strength*
Reading: Genesis 35:16-20
Devotional: The story of Benjamin's birth shows how God can transform our sorrows into strength. Jacob renamed his son from "son of my sorrow" to "son of my right hand." Similarly, Christ bore our sorrows so we could become children of God's strength. Consider a current sorrow in your life. How might God be working to transform this into an area of spiritual strength? Pray for eyes to see beyond your current circumstances to God's greater purpose.
*Day 3: The Wisdom of God in Christ*
Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, Proverbs 3:13-18
Devotional: Paul reminds us that Christ is our wisdom from God. This wisdom isn't just knowledge, but righteousness, holiness, and redemption. The Proverbs describe wisdom as more precious than riches, offering both long life and honor. How have you experienced Christ as your wisdom? In what areas do you need to rely more fully on His wisdom rather than your own understanding? Ask God to reveal areas where you can apply His wisdom today.
*Day 4: Standing in Times of Trial*
Reading: Acts 7:54-60
Devotional: Stephen's martyrdom shows us a powerful example of faith in the face of extreme opposition. Even as he was being stoned, Stephen saw Jesus standing at God's right hand. This image of Christ standing, rather than sitting, speaks to His active involvement in our trials. When have you felt Jesus "standing" with you in difficulty? How can Stephen's example inspire you to maintain your faith in challenging times?
*Day 5: Our Interceding High Priest*
Reading: Hebrews 7:23-28
Devotional: The book of Hebrews emphasizes Jesus' ongoing role as our High Priest. Unlike earthly priests, Jesus lives forever to intercede for us. This means that at every moment, in every struggle, Jesus is advocating on your behalf before the Father. How does this reality change the way you approach prayer? Take time to thank Jesus for His constant intercession, and bring your deepest needs before Him, knowing He is already praying for you.
