The first batch of Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) recruits is expected to commence police training in June 2025, as the recruitment team nears completion of its nationwide selection drive.
RPNGC announced that it had received a total of 18,460 applications via its newly introduced online portal. However, 12,308 applications were disqualified due to missing documents, failing grades in English and Mathematics, or age ineligibility.
The shortlisted candidates were grouped into two main batches. Those from Southern and Momase regions formed the first group, while applicants from the Highlands and New Guinea Islands regions make up the second. The recruitment process comprises six stages: Screening and Validation, Testing, Interview, Medical Check, Physical Fitness, and Reference Check.
