Papua New Guinea Deputy Opposition Leader James Nomane has accused the Marape-led government of failing to meet its financial commitments, questioning whether a K3.5 billion budget gap is being deliberately downplayed as the country approaches mid-2025.
Speaking in Parliament, Nomane expressed frustration over the lack of DSIP funding for his Chuave electorate and the broader Simbu provincial government. He recalled that Treasurer Ian Ling-Stuckey had previously admitted that both tax and non-tax revenues had failed to meet projections.
