In “With Honors,” Joe Pesci delivers one of the most underrated lessons on the Constitution. The Constitution wasn’t written to be perfect. It was written with faith in the people — that we’d keep learning, growing, and fixing what’s broken. The founders knew they didn’t have all the answers. So they made sure the system could evolve. No kings. No royalty. Just citizens, listening and leading together. And yeah — even the President is just a public servant. Not above us. Not beyond question. Pesci’s character might’ve been rough around the edges, but he got one thing right: the Constitution’s power comes from us. Not fancy speeches or rigid rules — just ordinary people trying to do better. Let’s not forget that.
