*Latest Updates on Palestine* 🇵🇸 ⭕️ Eight of the 12 passengers aboard the Freedom Flotilla’s ship Madleen, will appear in court to determine their possible deportation. ⭕️ Under Israeli law, they hold detainee status. ⭕️ The remaining four agreed to immediate deportation and were prompted to sign a document acknowledging they had entered Israel illegally. ⭕️ The Madleen was intercepted in international waters, off from Israeli jurisdiction. ⭕️ Under international maritime law, no country has the right to stop a foreign flagged vessel unless special circumstances—such as piracy—apply. No such circumstances have been proven for the Madleen crew.
