🚨We are clamping down on vandalism of our infrastructure‼️ In the early hours of this morning, 23 May 2025, the #empd cable theft unit arrested a 32-year-old man caught in the act of tampering with City infrastructure. It was while officers were patrolling on Main Reef Road that they caught the suspect. He was found in possession of a 20m underground cable, with an estimated street value of R15 000. A hacksaw, blade and torch were also found on the scene. The man was taken to Primrose Police Station and charged with tampering with essential infrastructure and is set to appear in court soon. #empdcrimestop #stopvandalism
