#empd is maintaining a high presence at Lindelani informal settlement, Kingsway, where community members are protesting and have barricaded the roadways.
Rocks were thrown at one of the #empd response team's vehicles, and a uniformed officer assaulted.
Motorists are to avoid the area.
The EMPD condemns any acts of violence and warns that guilty parties will be brought to book.
