🎍 We are reminded as believers that our actions must stem from sincerity and the desire to please Allah ﷻ alone. When we give, help others, or engage in good deeds, our intention should be purely for His sake and not for recognition or praise from people. This is a test of our hearts because the desire to be seen and appreciated can subtly creep in. Yet we know that Allah ﷻ does not judge by appearances but looks at our hearts and intentions. The purity of our intention holds more weight than the act itself. ☝🏼Showing off in acts of worship or charity is a dangerous form of spiritual corruption. The Prophet ﷺ warned us that the most feared thing for his Ummah is the minor shirk which is showing off. This is because it takes an act that could bring immense reward and instead turns it into something empty, or even sinful, if done to impress others. We may fool people but never Allah ﷻ. Even a small deed done with sincerity is more beloved to Allah ﷻ than a grand act done for fame or recognition. 🥇Our goal is to do good quietly and privately, trusting that Allah ﷻ sees every effort and will reward us beyond measure. Sometimes, we may feel discouraged when no one acknowledges our efforts, but this is where our faith is tested. Allah ﷻ is Al-Basir, the All-Seeing, and He does not allow any good deed to go unnoticed. When we do good solely for Him, we free ourselves from needing people’s validation and focus only on His reward, which is eternal and far greater. 🫶🏼May Allah ﷻ purify our intentions, protect us from showing off, and grant us the sincerity to act solely for His pleasure. May He accept our hidden deeds and make them a light for us on the Day of Judgment. Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen 🤲
