#manipaluniversityjaipur .#systemsgenomicslab #announcements Dear All Our group is seeking a Postdoc and a couple of PhD fellows: Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher and a couple of PhD fellow positions in Systems Genomics group, Manipal University Jaipur with Prashanth N Suravajhala ( Prash), Professor, Department of Biosciences. The researchers will be responsible for performing integrated systems genomics research, analyzing data, besides a few other chores. Salary commensurate as per GoI standards. Project/Lab description The Systems Genomics Lab is curious to know how of a biology of a system with special interests to study protein-protein interactions and top-down systems biology of the known unknown regions , long noncoding RNAs in human, focusing on next-generation sequencing approaches to identify regulatory aspects of the genome. A larger interest has been into elucidating the mechanisms underpinning small molecular interactions (lncRNA x protein) through clinical exomes/genomes. The group has been vying for translational avenues in areas of (a) Anorectal Malformations, a rare disease associated with genitourinary tract and (b) CA Prostate, the adenocarcinoma of the Prostate where the group has been the first to sequence several Prostate Cancer (PCa) exomes to determine the somatic landscape of India. The lab has developed models and pipelines and aims to bridge the gap in ascertaining the variants of uncertain significance (VUS) in these diseased phenotypes.
