RCCG DAYSTAR (Thanksgiving Service) 1st Sunday, June 2025 Message by: Pastor Johnson Message: He leads, and I follow 5 ways of following: 1. You follow by trusting - Prov 3:5 - 6 2. Follow sacrificing - Lk 14:27 the cross signifies personal sacrifice. 3. Follow empty - Heb 12:1 - You're not supposed to carry any other load, but the cross. Any other thing you carry will weigh you down. The first dimension of the following is carriage. Always remember that someone (especially your parents) carried you when you were vulnerable either as a child or mature person. Isaiah 46:4 God, unlike our parents, keeps carrying you, even until old age. Isaiah 40:11, Deutronomy 1:31 Though carriage is good but it'll end one day, as you mature in age or in the Spirit, just like children also get to an age where you can not comfortably carry them anymore. Ephesians 5:1, Lk 14:26 - 27 Are you actually carrying your cross and following God, or you're following someone or something else? 1 Corrinthians 11:1 - Are you following someone who is also following Christ , or you're just following the person for following Sake? What happens if the one you're following suddenly disappeared, what will you do? When you can't hear God again, just follow His last instruction(s) He gave you. Isaiah 30:21 - The best way to follow is your ability to hear - absolute faith in what God says, even though you can't see Him leading you. Job 32:8 This level of knowing and following requires action, and the rule is, you must not look back. No matter who cares, it's better to obey God's direction than seeking man's endorsement because the earlier you obeyed, the better for you. Lk 9:62 - Keep running with God's outstanding instructions, and you'll marvel at what God will do. You should come to the level of understanding that God wants you to leave a place of work or some challenges will start happening in your work until you obey God's leading. Your following is very important because some others are following you - especially your children. Deutronomy 32:11 - 14 Verse 15 - Is a dangerous place to be Prayers: 1. Father, Lord in any way I'm blind to your leading, have mercy upon me. 2. In any way I'm deaf to your voice, please open my ears to keep hearing from you.
