Job Summary:
Mazuri Sacco is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Sacco Manager to lead the organization’s operations and growth agenda. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in Sacco management, with a strong background in business development and operational efficiency. The Sacco Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, implementing strategic plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving the overall growth of the Sacco.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and manage all aspects of Sacco operations, including loans, savings, member services, and investments.
• Develop and implement business growth strategies aimed at increasing membership, revenue, and product uptake.
• Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., SASRA) and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and operational records.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise staff, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous staff development.
• Prepare and present periodic financial, operational, and strategic reports to the Board of Directors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, stakeholders, regulators, and financial partners.
• Monitor and manage risks, ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of the Sacco.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Cooperative Management, or a related field is necessary.
• An entrepreneurial self-starter mindset with ability to build businesses from scratch
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a similar Sacco leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in business development, strategic planning, and operations management.
• Strong financial management skills and knowledge of credit and risk management.
• In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment governing Saccos in Kenya.
• Proficient in Sacco management systems and technology-driven operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Location Requirement:
Must be based or willing to relocate to Machakos County.
