Fortis Hospital: Doctors Restrained, Justice Still Distant! Dear Community Members, In a significant development, the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) has restrained two doctors from Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, from claiming specialist status after advocate Sachin Jain alleged medical negligence caused his son Devarsh’s irreversible brain injury. Sachin Jain has battled for 8 years for justice for his son. He alleges that during Devarsh’s 11-day NICU stay in 2017, unqualified doctors’ care led to severe developmental regression, leaving him bedridden, unable to speak or recognise his parents. While the DMC’s May 21, 2025, order is a step toward accountability, Sachin’s eight-year fight for justice continues, demanding stricter oversight and action against Fortis.
