Daily Islamic Reminders

Dear sisters As a Muslimah and a married woman, allow me to share a heartfelt reminder. If your husband enjoys posting your pictures online or allows you to post them yourself, whether it's just you or both of you together, please do not mistake that for love. It might look sweet on the surface and even feel like romance, but in truth, it is not love. In Islam, modesty and honour are serious matters. A man who willingly exposes his wife to the public eye in this way is not being loving or supportive. He is actually showing a lack of protective care. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said that a man who lacks this sense of protective jealousy, known as a dayyooth, will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise. That is a powerful warning and not something to take lightly. So if you find yourself proudly thinking my husband posts me so he must really love me, pause for a moment. This is not a reason to boast. It is a red flag dressed in Instagram filters. This reminder is not to judge or shame but to encourage reflection. For you and for him. May Allah forgive us, guide us, and help us protect our dignity in ways that lead us closer to His mercy and His Paradise Love is a beautiful thing, but only when it stays within the boundaries that please the One who gave us the ability to love in the first place
