This initiative began in Mayibuye in November 2023, where City Power successfully normalized the area. Today, City Power has officially commenced the normalization of smart meters in Klipfontein, following several engagements with Ward Councillor Dimakatso Moloisane and his leadership team. An educational campaign was held on May 18th and 24th 2025, organized by City Power officials, to demonstrate to the community how the smart meters function. The sessions were well-attended by residents. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure a stable electricity supply and enable residents to begin purchasing electricity. ^ZD
