Following sustained efforts and my official request dated May 6, the BMC has accepted the demand to make parking free at 10 key locations in A Ward until fresh tenders are floated. This decision comes as much-needed relief for honest taxpayers who were being unfairly overcharged under questionable operations. A Ward, home to heritage landmarks, government offices, and business hubs, witnesses heavy daily traffic. Free parking in these zones will ease the burden on residents and commuters alike. While this move is temporary, it must lead to a more transparent and accountable parking policy going forward. Public services must serve the public—not exploit them. #powertopeople
