*Not everyone is your friend*. ( Good Read) Anyone who has been blessed by Allah will be envied. Their envy may not be apparent, but you'll observe slips in their speech, harmless "jokes", their vibes & actions around you. Allah grants us this insight. He tells us, وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَأَرَيْنَاكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ ۚ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِي لَحْنِ الْقَوْلِ "Had We willed, We would have shown them to you (by identifying each one of them,) so as you would definitely recognize them by their features. However, you will recognize them by the tone of (their) speech." (Muhammad: 30) This verse is speaking about the hypocrites, but the concept of فراسة (insight) from Allah is applied to other affairs as well. The smart believer recognizes who is a true friend and who isn't. He/She keeps their circle tight and continues upon the path of goodness pleasing to Allah. Do not let the envious destroy or affect your life and happiness. Instead, continue upon that khayr Allah has blessed you with and that will suffice in your enemies' destruction. The poet said, اصبر على كيد الحسود ... فإنّ صبرك قاتله فالنار تأكل بعضها ... إن لم تجد ما تأكله "Remain patient against the plots of the envious, for surely your patience will kill him/her.
