Mnangagwa to Belarus, where critical partnerships were established to revolutionize women's participation in agriculture and enterprise development. Speaking from Minsk where he led a high-powered delegation including Hon. Minister Monica Mutsvangwa of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, President Mnangagwa emphasized that "the New Dispensation's foreign policy is deliberately structured to unlock opportunities for Zimbabwean women who constitute 52 percent of our population and are the backbone of our economy." "The agreements we signed in Belarus will directly benefit our women farmers and entrepreneurs through technology transfer, mechanization programs and specialized training in agro-processing," the President declared. "This aligns perfectly with our National Development Strategy's gender mainstreaming objectives and our 2030 Upper-Middle-Income-Status economy targets." Minister Monica Mutsvangwa, who engaged Belarusian counterparts in specialized discussions on women's economic empowerment, revealed that the partnerships would particularly focus on three key areas such as modern poultry and dairy production techniques through Belarusian technology transfer, affordable agricultural mechanization specifically designed for women's farming collectives, and vocational training programs in food processing and value addition "Our women will soon access Belarusian-designed small-scale agricultural machinery that will triple their productivity while reducing labor burdens," Minister Mutsvangwa explained. "The President has secured commitments for training programs where our women will learn advanced techniques in poultry, dairy and horticulture - sectors where Belarus has world-class expertise." The Minister highlighted that these developments build upon existing women's empowerment initiatives like the Manicaland hatchery project, but with enhanced technological input from Belarus. "What we launched in Manicaland was just the beginning. The Belarus partnership will take our women's projects to industrial scale," she noted. Other delegation members confirmed the transformative potential of these agreements. Hon Sam Matema, ZANU PF Manicaland Secretary-General, stated: "Under President Mnangagwa's Leadership, we're moving from small-scale projects to systemic empowerment. The Party will ensure these opportunities reach every woman in our villages and growth points." The Belarus agreements come as the Great Republic of Zimbabwe implements Chapter 12 of the NDS1 on Gender Mainstreaming, which seeks to dismantle historical economic barriers facing women. With women constituting the majority in agriculture but owning less than 20 percent of productive assets, these new technologies and training programs are expected to dramatically alter the economic landscape. As the delegation returns home, implementation teams are already being constituted to operationalize the agreements, with Minister Monica Mutsvangwa's Ministry taking lead coordination role.
