*START YOUR DAY WITH GOD...* 🧾 *RECLAIM YOUR JOY* 📖 _Psalm 51:12_ _“Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”_ Joy is more than a feeling or a response to good circumstances. It is a deep, abiding state of gladness that comes from God Himself. Because joy is supernatural and rooted in the Spirit, the enemy knows its power and will do all he can to steal it from you. When joy leaves, weariness and even depression can take hold, making it hard to keep going. Our opening scripture shows us how to respond when we find ourselves in a place of spiritual dryness, exhaustion, or heaviness; cry out for restoration! The joy that comes from knowing you are forgiven, loved and never alone can elude you in moments of despair but the good news is that joy is not dependent on your situation. It springs from the unshakeable truth that your life is firmly in God’s hands and He is equipping you with a powerful weapon against despair. So today, examine your heart. Do you still have joy in the midst of all you are going through? Ask the Lord to restore your joy. Let the Spirit of God fill you afresh.
