The Nigerian Military has launched a Joint Army-Navy Mobile Strike Force (MOSFOR) in Baga, Kukawa LGA, Borno State. The unit, comprising personnel from the Nigerian Army and the Navy’s Special Boat Service (SBS), is equipped with MRAPs and other armoured vehicles. MOSFOR will conduct clearance operations, secure supply routes, and patrol the Sector 3 Area of Responsibility under Operation HADIN KAI. On 25 May 2025, the military intensified its offensive against Boko Haram and other criminal elements through coordinated operations led by top military commanders. These include the Acting Commander of Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAl/Multinational Joint Task Force, Brigadier General Suleiman Tilawan; Commander 19 Brigade, Brigadier General SS Ahmed; Commander 403 Amphibious Brigade, Brigadier General E. Agada; and Commander, Naval Base Lake Chad, Commodore Hyacinth Nwaka.
