Update on Trackhouse MotoGP Team rider #79 Ai Ogura: following the injury he sustained in his crash in Free Practice 1 on Friday May 23, at Silverstone, during the Grand Prix of the United Kingdom and subsequent recovery progress – issued Thursday, June 5: Barcelona – Thursday, June 5: #79 Ai Ogura underwent a further medical assessment this afternoon, with Dr. Juan Monllau, the Surgeon who carried out the keyhole surgery to repair a fracture to the top of his right Tibia. While recovery progress is positive, unfortunately, the medical advice is that Ai is not yet sufficiently healed to allow him to ride in the Grand Prix of Aragon, this weekend. Therefore, the Trackhouse MotoGP Team, respecting the medical guidance, will not run Ai Ogura at Motorland and he will, instead, continue his rehabilitation, targeting a comeback at Mugello for the Italian Grand Prix, in two weeks.
