This budget has wasted the nation’s precious time. It failed completely in delivering the reforms that the country so desperately needed. Today, the country is not in default, we have won the war against India, and the military is firmly supporting the government. Global oil prices have fallen, which has benefited us as well. Yet, over the past three years, the average Pakistani has become poorer, and for the last fifteen years, Pakistan has been steadily slipping into further poverty and backwardness. Countries like India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia have all surpassed us, while we continue to lag behind.
