🎉New Project! Solidaridad Secures Support for Biodiversity Initiatives in Kenya and Tanzania! We are thrilled to share that Solidaridad East and Central Africa proposals have been selected under the LVVN 2025 Call for Biodiversity by the Netherlands Agricultural Network in Kenya and Tanzania ,with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya of the Netherlands. In Taita Taveta, Kenya, the Roots of Resilience project will collaborate with over 12,000 small-scale farmers to restore pollinator habitats, improve soil health, and build climate-resilient food systems that protect both livelihoods and ecosystems. In Mbeya, Tanzania, the Biodiversity in Action: Strengthening Ecosystems for Resilient Agriculture (BASE) project will empower 10,000 coffee farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture, boost biodiversity, and scale nature-positive enterprises like agroforestry and beekeeping. These initiatives are a bold step forward in demonstrating that biodiversity conservation and agricultural productivity can—and must—go hand in hand. They strengthen the case for nature-based solutions, while reinforcing community resilience and inclusive green growth across the region.
