*READING AND WRITING.* _This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone (Titus 3:8 NLT)._ Blessed evening. One of the lessons I am grateful to have learned early when I recognised that writing would be a big part of my pursuit of purpose, was that to be a good writer, it is not enough to read a lot, you actually must write a lot. Reading helps you increase the depth of your capacity to generate content and develop ideas. But if you do not commit to writing regularly, you are not likely to get better in your writing and you may still struggle to communicate all the beautiful ideas in your mind. The point is that to excel in the pursuit of God's purpose for our lives, it is important that we are able to identify the things we need to do to get better and be more effective in our pursuit. First, you must identify the skills, talents and unique life experiences you have which you can engage in your pursuit of purpose. Is it writing, speaking, coaching, counseling, teaching, singing, composing, acting? Whatever it is, it is important that you have sufficient clarity about what your pursuit of purpose should look like in practical terms. Then you must identify what you need to do to become excellent at what you are called to do. Develop a plan for not only self-development but also self-deployment. Build a platform. Be consistent in whatever you feel led to do. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord help me to work out the pursuit of Your purpose for my life even as You work in me to will and to do of Your good pleasure." Amen. *Keypoint:* A deployment plan is as important as a development plan for your pursuit of purpose.
