*GUIDANCE FOR CRITICAL MOMENTS IN OUR PURSUIT OF PURPOSE II.* _Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21 NIV)._ Blessed evening dear friend. One of the things I have learned about life-changing decisions is that they are often birthed in crisis. In the case of Ruth for example, we see that she had to decide whether to stay with her mother-in-law or to return to her people at a time of deep loss. Nehemiah had to decide whether to resign from the service of a king when he became aware of the devastating trouble his people were in. David had to step up to fight Goliath at a time of crisis that saw Israeli soldiers peeing in their pants at the sound of the Philistine giant. The lesson is that the decisions we make during times of crisis (personal and communal) will usually be life-changing. It is important that in making any decision, we are not motivated by our need for immediate relief or short-term gain. It is critical that we live with the consciousness of the working of God's purpose even in those times of crisis. We must be careful not to enter survival mode when God wants us to thrive even in that time of crisis. Instead of bowing to pressure and rushing to make a decision we may later regret, it is better to take some time out in worship and prayer, seeking the Lord's face and praying that His Will be done in our lives. *Pray by faith with me thus:* "Lord, help me to be sensitive to the working of Your Spirit providing me guidance even in times of crisis."
