*ANONYMOUS MESSAGING IN ISLAM – A REMINDER*
*Dear beloved brethren,*
In Islam, anonymity is only permissible when:
- The *intention is sincere*—to advise, correct, or promote good without seeking attention.
- It causes *no harm*—free from slander, mockery, or fitnah.
- It reflects *Islamic values*—truth, respect, and wisdom.
However, using it to insult, spread rumors, or create discord is *haram*. Sadly, that’s what anonymity has become today.
*“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”*
— *Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Sahih Bukhari & Muslim*
If your message is right and beneficial, speak it with courage. Hiding behind anonymity often means there's something to conceal.
