On direction of Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, the Mess and Canteen Committee of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, led by the Chairman Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar, along with members Prof. Dr. Sher Muhammad, Dr. Faheem Mushtaq Bajwa, Muhammad Irfan, and supporting staff conducted a surprise inspection of the university's canteens and hostel mess facilities.This visit was conducted under the special instructions of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, aims to ensure that students and staff are provided with high-quality, hygienic, and affordable food services. The committee thoroughly reviewed various aspects, including: ✅ Food quality and freshness ✅ Display and enforcement of approved rate lists ✅ Kitchen and serving area hygiene ✅ Cleanliness and sanitation standards ✅ Availability of safe drinking water and proper waste disposal The committee interacted with students to gather feedback and emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy dining environment. Instructions were issued on the spot to address minor concerns, and appreciation was extended to vendors meeting the required standards.
