*8,858 BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY GHOST DURING CHILDREN'S TIME WITH THE HOLY GHOST* In line with the vision of the Children's Ministry of The Church of Pentecost to ensure that every child experiences the baptism of the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking in tongues, the Ministry held 'Two Weekends With The Holy Spirit' across the country during the just ended two-week Fasting and Prayers by the church in commemoration of the Pentecost Week. The event which was held at Local and District Levels was under the theme 'Experiencing the Unleashed Power of the Holy Spirit' (Acts 2:32-33). Reports collated from the various Areas of the Church indicated a total attendance of 124,980 made up of 109,025 children and 15,955 adults out of which 8,858 which includes 7,641 children and 1,217 adults received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Speaking to PENTNEWS as part of his supervisory visit to Ashaiman Area, the Director of the Children's Ministry, Pastor Samuel Avornyo said he believes in the power of the Holy Spirit to baptize children and that the Children also receive the Holy Spirit just like any adult and not a baby Holy Spirit. He noted that the earlier the church pay attention to the spiritual needs of children, the better it will be for it. He added that in the years, efforts will be put in to develop children who have fasting, prayers and the study of the Word of God as a lifestyle as they grow up." He added. CM News
