*Lake Chivero water poses Cancer Risk* An expert has revealed that water in Lake Chivero now poses cancer and has become a risk to millions of people in Harare. The capital city relies on Lake Chivero mainly as a source of water that is used in the metropolis but University of Zimbabwe’s Chemical Pathologist, Professor Hilda Matarira, says Harare water coming from the Lake is not potable due to increased pollution from vehicles and industries.
