HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBER Cucumber is almost tasteless, but it's still one of my favorites.  My reason is simply the nutritional richness of cucumber.  Want to find out?  Come with me 👇 Many people have their reasons for not eating cucumbers; -To some people cucumbers are  too bland with no taste -To some, they’re all water and nothing more -To others, cucumbers are just there, and they are indifferent about eating them  But hey, I’m hoping this little gist makes you see cucumbers differently. -No cooking needed. Just wash, slice, and vibe with it raw. Cucumbers are one of the most hydrating fruits with very cool features. It belongs to a great family in the plant community.  Cucumbers are members of the Cucurbitaceae family, a  family  also having the likes of ; -Pumpkins  -Melons -Squash  Apart from the high water content  cucumbers also contain;  -Vitamin K -Vitamin C -Potassium  -Calcium  -Antioxidants like; Flavonoids, lignans, tannins, etc.  -Protein -Fat -Sugar -Dietary fibers  In maximizing these contents, it is advisable to eat them with the back  What are the Health Benefits of Cucumbers? Skin health; they have high water content and that’s a natural moisturizer.  -They are rich in antioxidants and prevent oxidative skin damage  -Heart Health; the presence of potassium lowers BP by diminishing the effects of sodium.  -Dietary fibers also help with cholesterol regulation and can contribute positively towards preventing Atherosclerosis.  -Weight Management; apart from the dietary fibers which contribute to an extent to this, the high water content makes eaters full for a longer time.  -Blood sugar Management; people with Diabetes are usually careful with selecting fruits because of sugar content. -Now, cucumbers have a low glycemic index; meaning they have lower chances of raising blood sugar.  -Gut Health; the water content aids digestion and the fiber content prevents constipation.  -Pickling them once in a while also helps because of the probiotic benefits they offer.  -Bone Health; the presence of Calcium and vitamin K  makes them healthy diets for bone health.  -They lower the risk of osteoporosis  -They Lower menopausal symptoms, the risk of certain cancers; this could be attributed to the presence of lignans, and tannins.  -They regulate body temperature, improve kidney function, and also help with cognition and memory.  Remember, cucumbers are always available all year round. They are not so expensive. Eat cucumbers more and enjoy all their benefits.
