*HAVE FAITH* | _Devotional_ FAITHFUL UNTIL THE END --- In a world where everything changes rapidly, faithfulness seems rare. Promises are broken, words are forgotten, and commitment becomes optional. But God isn't like that. He is faithful. And He calls us to live with that same faithfulness, not as a burden, but as a response of love and faith. --- LET'S READ "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2:10 (NLT) --- LET'S UNDERSTAND The word "faithfulness" comes from the Latin *fidelitas*, which is directly related to *fides*, which means "faith." In the Bible, having faith isn't just believing something with your mind, but living trusting, loving, and obeying. In other words, being faithful means having an active faith. Faithfulness to God is not born of human effort, but of knowing Christ. When we see Him as He is—faithful, constant, loving—our hearts respond with surrender. Being faithful is obeying His Word, following His ways, and loving Him deeply, even when not everything makes sense. It's not perfection, it's permanence. It's saying "yes" to God today... and tomorrow too. --- PRACTICE Remember, faithfulness is not a passing emotion; it's a daily decision based on a deep unity, for it is born in our own thoughts and convictions. 1. *Evaluate your faithfulness.* Do you have the true conviction that you have been born again? Remember that faithfulness is born of love, and if you don't love, there can be no faithfulness, much less faith. Evaluate your heart. 2. *Strengthen your faith.* Faithfulness grows as we get to know a person, Christ our Lord, better. Read His Word, pray, and seek His presence every day. 3. *Love consistently.* Faithfulness is not only toward God; it is also reflected in how you treat others: with steadfast love, patience, and truth. You cannot expect to be faithful to God and his Son whom you cannot physically see when you cannot be faithful to your own convictions, purposes, your own wife or girlfriend, your family, and friends. Faithfulness is something that must be part of your very personality. --- LET US PRAY Lord, you are faithful. Although I have often failed, you do not change. Teach me to live with a faith that loves you, obeys you, and follows you with all my heart. May my faithfulness not depend on my emotions, but on your truth.
