On June 5, the Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana, in partnership with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)-UK and the Fisheries Commission supported by the Danish Embassy, trained women smallholder fish farmers as part of efforts to strengthen skills and improve farm practices. The workshop brought together aquaculture experts who led practical sessions on biosecurity, fish disease identification, climate change adaptation, and cold chain management. With support from the Fisheries Commission and Aquamet Technologies, participants received hands-on knowledge to enhance their farm operations and resilience. The training was held under the Animal Health System Strengthening (AHSS) program, which focuses on strengthening aquatic animal health systems across Africa. We’re proud to support women in aquaculture and promote a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable fish farming sector. #aquaculture #womeninag #fishfarming #climateresilience #ahss #defra #blueeconomy #womeninaquaculture #coldchain #biosecurity #agriwomen #smallholderfarmers #fisheriescommission #aquamet #sustainablefarming
