We finished an addition to an existing SONOR Phonic Plus Hi-Tech drumkit. A customer had a regular Phonic 8x8" tom with oak veneer and chrome hardware, but wanted it in the same black anthracite look. So we took off the veneer and covered the shell with the last remaining Hi-Tech wrap. The hardware including mounts and even the tomarm was powdercoated in black. The chrome parts need to be disassembled and cleaned, then baked in the oven at about 200° C. Very nice and timeless result if you compare it to the 14x8" genuine Hi-Tech D518x snaredrum!
