CONCEPT NOTE:
Language, literature, and culture are dynamic forces that shape identities, histories, and knowledge systems. In an era of globalization, digital transformation, and ecological crises, literary and cultural studies must evolve to address new paradigms of meaning, resistance, and reimagination. This volume explores how language and literature negotiate power, identity, and tradition in shifting socio-political landscapes.
This collection engages with Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, Folklore, Oral Traditions, and Indigenous Narratives, emphasizing storytelling as an epistemic practice. Postcolonial and Subaltern Studies interrogate histories of marginalization, while Digital Humanities, AI, and Literature examine technological influences on literary forms. Language Pedagogy and Multilingualism highlight linguistic diversity and endangered languages.
Addressing contemporary challenges, this volume includes perspectives on Eco-Criticism, Climate Change, Gender and Queer Studies, Popular Culture, and Experimental Literary Forms. It also explores Mythology, Diaspora, Science Fiction, and Cyber Literature, reflecting on evolving narratives of belonging, identity, and future imaginaries.
A key focus is Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and indigenous literary traditions, reclaiming classical and regional epistemologies through Sanskrit poetics, oral storytelling, and aesthetic philosophies. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, this book serves as a vital resource for scholars, researchers, and students engaged in the evolving discourse of language, literature, and culture.
