[📸] President Cyril Ramaphosa, together with the Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Siviwe Gwarube; and the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Ms. Nonceba Mhlauli, addressed the newly appointed education assistants who began work on 2 June 2025.
These assistants are participants in the fifth phase of the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BBEI) — the largest youth employment programme in South Africa's history.
