📖 *Story*
This morning, I was cooking and reached a point where I needed to add water to the food. I had a large water jug beside me, but in my mind, I knew I only needed a small amount — just a little. So, without thinking too much, I fetched exactly that small amount from the jug.
A few minutes later, I needed water again — this time to wash some onions. I reached for the jug, but it was already empty. So, I had to fetch water all over again.
As I stood there, I paused. I asked myself:
What if I had just fetched a full jug in the first place? Would I have saved myself the extra effort?
💭 *Reflection*
That small act reminded me of how often we limit ourselves without realizing it. Even when we have the capacity to carry more — to plan ahead, to stretch a bit further — we sometimes only reach for what we think we need right now.
I didn’t trust that I could hold or manage more, even though I could. And that moment cost me extra time and energy.
It made me think: in life, how many times do we carry "just enough" because we’ve unconsciously set a limit in our minds? What doors remain closed because we never even tried to open them fully?
