Pentecost Week: Monday Service With Pastor David Ineza
COLLIDING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Colliding with the Holy Spirit is when a child of God encounters a grave accident, and collides with Him, is transformed by Him, is empowered by Him, and his whole life changes direction in such a way that no one can understand it except those who have been given the Grace t collide with Him.

Acts 2:1-3
1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
Every Christian here on earth who has not had a special encounter with the Holy Spirit is living a very broken life, because this world is full of its own standards that must be adhered to at all costs and are very much at odds with the principles of the place we are headed to.
GOOD CONSEQUENCES IN COLLIDING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT ON A PERSONAL LEVEL
1.LIVING A TRULY TRANSFORMED LIFE WHOLLY: (character and behavior, what we value (priorities), …)
Acts 9:3-6
3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
5 "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
6 "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
Acts 9:10-12,17-22
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered.
11 The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, "Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?"
22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.
Galatians 5:16,22-23
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Romans 8:29
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
2.BEING HUNGRY AND THIRSTY FOR DRAWING NEAR TO GOD AND SERVING HIM.
Matthew 6:31-33
31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Psalm 42:2-3
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
Galatians 1:15-17
15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased
16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.
3.BEING GIVEN SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES: Boldness, Faith, Spiritual Gifts, …
Acts 4:7-10,13-16
7 They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: "By what power or what name did you do this?"
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people!
9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed,
10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
14 But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.
15 So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
16 "What are we going to do with these men?" they asked. "Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it.
Acts 16:24-32
24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose.
27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.
28 But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!"
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."
32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.
POINTS
I. OUR GOD NEEDS US TO LIVE A CHANGED LIFE BEARING THE IMAGE OF HIS SON MORE AND MORE, WHICH WILL REQUIRE A VISIT FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT TO SHOW US WHERE EVERYTHING IN OUR HUMAN NATURE/ FLESH NEEDS TO CHANGE ACCORDING TO HIS DESIRE
II. ONLY THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL MAKE US MISS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND TO SERVE OUR KINGDOM WITHOUT BEING DRIVEN BY LUST OF THE POSSESSIONS INVOLVED, WHICH INCLUDES: WEALTH, HONOR, GOOD REPUTATION OR GOOD SPEECH, CONVINCING, … BUT FILLED WITH THE JOY OF ACCOMPLISHING WHAT WE WERE CREATED FOR.
III. THIS WORLD IS A DRAINING PLACE FOR MANY OF THOSE WHO STARTED THE JOURNEY WITHOUT A DEEP COMMUNION WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT IS WHY THE SPIRIT CAME TO ENABLE US TO BE MORE BOLD, TO STRIVING TO RECEIVING WHAT IS AHEAD AT ALL COSTS. AND TO SHOW THE POWER OF GOD IN DOING THINGS THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO OUR HUMAN NATURE.
